The Lower Bann river in Northern Ireland is over thirty eight miles long running from Lough Neagh through to the Atlantic ocean. It is home to countless different forms of wildlife as well as providing a valuable source of industry to man and is one of the most important salmon rivers in Ireland. The largest river in Northern Ireland, it is up to 200 foot wide for most of its length and a winter flood can produce a flow of around 300 cubic metres per second.
