I started photographing weddings over eleven years ago.

In eleven years an awful lot has changed, social media was barely in existence when I started, digital cameras were reserved for pro's and well heeled enthusiasts and weddings were things I wasn't too sure of.

Fast forward to now and I have travelled the length and breadth of the country to capture more weddings than I have owned pairs of trousers, seen all sorts of amazing, touching and wonderful happenings and grown into an entirely different and better photographer because of it all.

I honestly had no clue what to expect when I captured my first wedding at Langley Castle, Northumberland. I turned up with the thought of shooting it as though I were covering it for an issue of National Geographic and left with the biggest smile and feeling of having achieved something spectacular.

Today I try to specialise in more outdoor and rugged weddings, quite easy to do with Northumberland on my doorstep!  College Valley, for example, has been a frequent haunt and getting to be in the wildest of nature while capturing a couples first moments has been an exquisite pleasure.

My approach to the whole day runs pretty relaxed and laid back.  I am not there to tell you what to do or prompt events, I am simply there to be a perfect fly on the wall (the type you don't want to swat!) with camera poised to capture the little moments that no one else could.  There is undeniable art in timing just the right moment to capture that second in time where all the elements of a great documentary photograph take place.  It is an art that I have persued and perfected by photographing some of the most fantastic people I have ever met in the most amazing venues.

If your wedding calls for a unique photographer to capture the events in the most amazing of fashions then please do not hesitate to get in touch to discuss booking me.  You will not be disappointed.
